Doctorate Degree Programs–Glyndŵr University

Background:
Glyndŵr University or formerly known as North East Wales Institute of Higher Education (NEWI) is a university located in Wrexham, Wales. It is a member of the University of Wales since 2003 and was granted university status in 2008. The university was named after Owain Glyndŵr, a medieval Welsh prince who first suggested the establishment of universities in Wales in the 15th century.

Duration and Process:
In order to be admitted to one of the doctorate degree programs offered, the applicant should possess a UK Honours degree, or an academic, or professional experience that is deemed equivalent by the Research Degrees Committee. The applicant should also demonstrate competence in the use of the English or Welsh language and should provide at least two references who know about the applicant’s research and academic ability.

The duration of study for students in doctorate degree programs ranges from 3 to 5 years if full time and 5 to 8 years if part time
